We belonged together...forever...best friends for life....so quickly gone but never forgotten...the memories will never fade...the love will always be athough you went far-away...never to return...
I had it all with you...we had so much, but so little time together...a lifetime together is never enough...
The jumbled thoughts that ramble through your mind when a loved one is lost...how can it be over...why did it have to end...why am I left here without you...you said it was forever...that I had no idea how much you loved me...it was you who had no idea how much I loved you...never again will I feel a love that deep...never again trust another with my heart and soul...once in a lifetime is enough but only wish it would have lasted a bit longer...I'm not ready to let you go...please stay awhile longer...come back...
These and more wander through a mind lost in sorrow...what would it be like to be with another that long...only to lose them in an instant...forever...such pain and loss I can only imagine...60+ years together...

two as one...so many never find what they had...never fight to keep love in their lives...always looking...never finding...and in the end we all end up alone...

at least mom knows dad didn't leave her by choice...loved her to the end...she can feel his presense...remember all the years together...happy times...sad times...hard times... a life time together...through thick and thin...what real love is about...working it out...not giving up no matter what...
