Prey/Pray For Life

I did this painting several years ago, but it is how I feel lately...like a rabbit running for its very life...but running in circles never getting anywhere...always close to being consumed by predators...like the rabbit my only protection is to burrow deep and hide...waiting for the danger to pass by...hoping I'm not caught unawares...I hurt...I'm scared and I hide my feelings deep...
The eagle is a majestic bird...beautiful but deadly...hunting and killing its prey...like the lion they kill to survive...for food or to protect...
I've had eagles in my life...a lion...they all taught me lessons...lessons on life...on love...but they forgot to teach me who to trust...to believe in...to love...
They left me to fend for myself...to figure this life out on my own terms...its hard...and I keep falling...but I keep trying too and someday I hope I finally get it right...

I need to find the Rainbow Trail...out of the Dark Mist...and into the light...I pray for guidance...for answers that can't be found...give me the strength to put the past behind me...

Please Guide me on the right path...show me the way...help me choose right and find happiness and love...be able to trust and believe again...
