Karma Strikes...

 

With the morning light the princess and the wolf found themselves once again on their journey....the princess wondered where they were going...but the sun felt so warm...and the sky so blue...she just wanted to enjoy the moment and not think of anything for awhile...step by step they trudged on down the winding path...finally the wolf broke the silence...
You know princess...that the prince does love you....but he has his own journey to follow right now...he is obligated to fulfill a promise he made to another...just as you too are obligated to travel the path you have chosen for now...even if it leads away from the prince and your love...
What promise has he made? and to whom...wonders the princess and looks to the wolf for the answers...
Someone else needs him right now...needs him to stay until circumstances direct they don't need him anymore...that's all I can say on the matter...he is lost...and alone...yes, but what you saw was the path of his soul...his heart...what resides deep within him...not what and where he is in this life's journey...
leave it be for now and find what it is you need in your life...the future will take care of itself...he will find himself and you...in time...
And the wolf fell silent and let the princess think on what he had said...
The princess frowned for a long time...deep in thought...then slowly you could see the light dawning in her eyes and a smile return to her lips...Thank you my friend...I am content to wait...to learn what I need to for now...and wait...for love...for the prince...he has his path and I have mine...for now...
Soon they came upon a trail that led up a rocky slope...the wolf turned on it without comment...they walked and climbed until they reached an arch...

the wolf urged the princess to carefully walk over the arch...when they reach the center the wolf stopped...princess....hold on to me and slowly look down...there is something there you should see...
The princess did as she was told and peering over the edge of the arch she gasped...then she looked again...wonder and delight overcame her...
Karma is such a wonderful thing she exclaimed...for there below them was the wicked Queen...she had fallen into the abyss...

What has happened to the wicked queen the princess squealed...why is she down there and what are all those things with her...
She has finally got what she deserves the wolf told her...the rest of her life will be spent below...sifting through all the hearts she has broken...all the lives she has ruined...trying to piece them back together to earn her salvation....

I almost feel sorry for her the princess whispered....maybe if she sees every day the destruction she has wrought...she will learn her lesson and change...maybe she will find a way to earn her salvation...put some of those broken hearts back together...help others that she destroyed...
You are the eternal optimist the wolf laughed...time will tell I guess...but for now...Karma has dealt its blow on the Wicked Queen...she will be there for some time I suspect...
Well...she was horrible to me...and she hurt the prince...hurt him bad...I guess karma knows best...
So the two looked down one last time at the poor wicked queen and then continued across the arch...
reaching the other side they followed the path...it led them back into the forest....
Where now dear wolf...the princess asked...you'll soon see he replied...we are just beginning our adventure...you've seen where the prince and the wicked queens path's have led them...now it is time to see where your path leads...the path will narrow soon and we will come to a cave...in that cave you will find part of your destiny...
What's there the princess asked...
You will find out soon enough the wolf said...look ahead...there is the cave...
