I'll answer your questions the wolf soothed...but there is nothing you can do to help the frogly prince...he has done this on his own and only he can change his circumstances...you have tried and tried...everything you could think of...over and over...but nothing worked...he didn't want to remember you or your love and now he is lost in a world of his own making...watch closely...he can't see or hear us...watch him...
So the princess sat and watched the little frog in his boat...the little frog rowed and rowed...he would go only so far and then turn around and row back to where he was...over and over again...in circles...never getting anywhere...a confusion of hard work...going from one point and then back again...over and over and each time you could see he was getting more tired....so worn out from his fruitless journey......
He is lost....the wolf replied...looking for love...he thinks it is the way he goes...only to find it isn't there so he heads back home...but as soon as he gets almost home...he thinks he remembers where love is...and goes back again...a vicious circle...he is stuck in a life...with no foreseeable future other than what he is doing right now...he hates his life, but doesn't know how to escape it...committed to the path he has chosen...tired...alone...lost...it's the choice he has made...
How can we help him whined the princess...there must be something...
Nothing that you haven't already tried...he is lost to you....only he can save himself...

He is a frog because he has also forgotten his worth...he has no one to believe in him...no one who loves him for who and what he is...only takers in his life...no givers anymore...they are sucking the life out of him....yes...yes...princess....I know, you love him...believe in him...the wicked queen left him a broken man...and he feels the pain every day...he can't reach for the stars because he feels so unworthy...he knows deep in his heart he lost a princess...lost the love of his life...the only thing he ever really cared about...but despite his frogly appearance...he is a man after all and men are proud and stubborn...he doesn't know how to come back to you...how to escape the life he finds himself in now...
Nothing more we can do here the wolf says soothingly to the princess...we must be off...let him be...maybe someday he will figure it all out and escape his torment...but for now he is lost to you...
The princess cries softly as they walk off down the path...knowing the prince is lost to her...the love of her life...her Once in a Lifetime Love...
her Prince is now a frog....lost in a nightmare of his own making....and she finally realizes that she can't do anything to help....can't love him enough to fix his broken life...she can still dream...wish....hope...believe...all she wants...but in the end...it is up to the frog...to decide if he wants to stay a frog...or become once again a prince...and take back his princess for his own...
