Wolf took his time...he wanted nothing to go wrong...he had to be free to pursue Red...make her his again...this time forever...ideas ran through his mind...he rejected each one for one reason or another...the perfect plan was not within his grasp...he spent his days pretending that all was well...going through the motions of life...worked long hard hours so he didn't have to be home much...it was hard to be around her and not let the truth come out...what was the truth anyway Wolf wondered...what exactly was his truth? that he was not what he seemed? would she even believe him if he told her? A man by day...and at night, especially on a full moon...
A wolf...the stuff of fairy tales...legends...but he was real...it happened time and time again...for so long he didn't remember a time when he was anything else...he'd lived for hundreds of years...loved and lost...felt so alone because no one knew his truth...he knew of no other like him...she or he...until now...in his passion he had made Red a part of his world...he had loved her for so long...loved her like no other...so much it had scared him and he had run...run from the pain he knew he must eventually face as she grew old and died and he lived on...he had left her...made himself choose another so she would leave him alone in his pain...he hadn't expected her pain to be so great...didn't know her love had ran so deep...he had meant to save her, but had almost destroyed her with his actions...and now...what had he done...she had come back...and he had succumbed to his desire...made his mark...changed her forever..would she except the change or blame and damn him...in time he would know...but for now he had other things to work out...
This woman he was with...what to do? he felt sorry for her...she didn't have a clue as to who he really was...she saw a man who worked...helped others...lived a simple quiet life...she slept while he roamed and let justice be his reason for the blood he craved...if she knew she would run...terrified...maybe that was the answer, but in revealing truth..would he be signing his fate? a life of being hunted...
Wolf sighed..it was time...plan or none..he needed to be free...he headed home...she greeted him at the door...he took her hand and sat her down...she asked him how his day had been...Wolf took a deep breath and looked deep into her eyes...as she looked back the woman felt cold and a fear overtook her she could not describe...she saw deeper and deeper into Wolf...his eyes revealed what his words could not...the woman gasped....no, not this...it couldn't be...you can't be she screamed...backing away from him...stay away...go away and never come back...she felt behind her...reached for a gun she had hidden in a drawer...pulling back the trigger she pointed it at Wolf...
