The Jack Donkey

Abbey Rose woke up to the sound of an awful braying...the noise was coming from somewhere outside...she got up and went to the door to see what was making that horrid sound...
Sam...Sam...where are you? and what is making that noise...it woke me up...
Sam came around the corner of the cabin...leading a Jack Donkey who was braying...kicking and trying his best to get away from Sam...
Whare did he come from Sam? isn't he dangerous the way he is jumping around? you might get hurt...Abbey Rose made sure she stayed far away from the animal...
He is only a danger to himself...don't you recognize him?
I'm sure I've never seen him before Sam...what is his name?
Let's just call him...

Wizard? You surely don't mean....is he really?
The one and the same Abbey Rose....
Oh, Sam....what on earth happened to him? An evil spell? What?
It's this place...it brought out his true nature...he followed you and this is what happened when he crossed the sea..
Abbey Rose cautiously came closer to  Wizard...he calmed down and stayed still while she gently touched his nose..
Will he change back...maybe if he goes back  home, Sam?
I don't know Abbey Rose...I think he will stay this way until he changes inside...that might not ever happen...or it might eventually...it's up to him...
Hear that Wizard...Abbey Rose whispers in the Jack Donkeys ear...you have to change inside to become changed on the outside...it's up to you...you can stay a Jack Donkey forever for all I care...and Abbey Rose smiled and laughed...feeling the Wizard had finally got trapped in his own game...but she patted him and rubbed his back...took his lead rope from Sam and tied him to a nearby tree...got him an apple and oats to eat and water to drink...I guess someone has to take care of him...he sure can't be wandering around by himself in this state...who knows what might happen to him...
You are too kind Abbey Rose...but I knew you would...
And so Abbey Rose found a new companion on this journey...A Jack Donkey...named Wizard...
